What materials do you use in your kitchens?
The structure of Karmenn kitchens is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE), mostly of recycled origin. The worktop is manufactured in High Pressure Laminate (HPL) with finishes that simulate marble and stone. Doors can be either HDPE or HPL.
HDPE is a sophisticated marine grade polymer specifically designed to withstand outdoor exposure. With a colourfast composition, our HDPE modules require no finishing or protection to withstand the harshest elements.
HPL is a high-pressure laminate that is made from a printed decorative paper that is fused with several sheets of kraft paper saturated with a phenolic resin. Heat and pressure are used to bond all the sheets together in a thermosetting fusion process that creates a flexible and durable piece of plastic-like strength and finish.
Does the colour change between products?
We have made every effort to accurately represent the colours of the products on our website. However, due to the nature of electronic media, the colour of the products may differ slightly from how they appear on this website and on each particular screen.
Karmenn furniture is largely made from recycled material and the colour and texture may vary slightly from product to product.
What maintenance is required?
You will never have to paint, sand or varnish Karmenn outdoor furniture to keep it looking like new. We recommend that with seasonal changes and due to temperature expansion check the tightness of the screws and hardware.
How should I clean outdoor furniture?
A simple hose down will suffice in most cases. If there is more dirt, a damp cloth with any type of mild soap is sufficient to remove even the dirt embedded in the texture. Microfibre wipes also work very well.
What do I have to do with the furniture in winter?
The best thing to do is to try to enjoy it as if it were summer and if you are a very careful person, then use one of our covers. For the rest you can completely forget about it.
